The Meeting House, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia

We all know that the Bible has many teachings about ethics such as “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” and about spirituality such as “Love the Lord your God.” These teachings are scattered and not presented in a way that is easy to access. Over the centuries our teachers have tried to rectify that by creating texts for study and spiritual practices to encourage our growth in these areas. Rabbi Saks will show us the path these developments followed, and introduce us to the most important texts and practices, from Biblical times through the modern Mussar Movement and today's concern for social justice.
