“The Meeting House,” the Oakland Mills Interfaith Center (OMI), is Columbia Jewish Congregation's shared religious facility located on 6.4 acres adjacent to the Oakland Mills Village Center in Columbia, Maryland. Constructed in 1975 during a time in Columbia’s history when shared religious facilities were an integral part of New Town Planning, it has 33,000 square feet of offices, classrooms and assembly room space. While each of the congregations within The Meeting House is autonomous, sharing the facility provides economical usage and the opportunity for interfaith learning and cooperative work. Owned and operated by Oakland Mills Interfaith, Inc., (OMII), The Meeting House is a religious non-profit corporation that is managed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from each of the equity holding congregations.
In addition to congregational space, the facility is available for rent to private parties and organizations for wedding ceremonies, conferences, seminars, and weekday gatherings. If you or your Congregation are looking for a place to worship, a permanent home or a space for an event, please contact the Manager at 410-730-4090.
