tu b'shevat seder/pot luck dinner

Sunday, January 20, 2019 -- 6:30pm
On Tu B'Shevat we celebrate a New Year for the Trees, rejoicing in the fruit of the tree and the fruit of the vine, celebrating the splendid, abundant gifts of the natural world which give our senses delight and our bodies life. Please join us for dinner and this wonderful intergenerational, multi-sensory exploration of the importance of the environment, our connection to Israel, and the gift of life. Please RSVP online by Wednesday, January 16, so we can adequately plan.

becoming a sacred community
Monday, January 21, 2019 -- 12:00pm
A sacred community is centered on the core certainty that all lives are sacred, that all people are lived by God. Dr. King held that this was not some sort of utopian and unreachable ideal but can be achieved in our local, national and international communities through an unshakable commitment to nonviolence and justice. We will begin with a Pot Luck lunch — bring a family-sized portion of something to share. Presented by the clergy of OMI

membership pledging period now open
We are currently accepting pledges for our 2018-19 membership pledging period in accordance with our Sustaining Dues Model. Instead of paying fixed dues set by the Board, CJC members make a voluntary pledge, reflecting their personal situations. It is our sincere hope that you pledge as generously as your circumstances allow. In determining your pledge amount, please consider all the benefits of CJC — its clergy and staff, religious services, life-cycle observances, holiday celebrations, adult education, Tikkun Olam, social justice and youth programming.
